Botafumeiros is a strain created from a predominately Sativa genetic selection, suitable for cultivation both indoors and outdoors. Despite its long flowering period of about ten weeks, this strain is widely offset by its rapid growth and high production.

This mostly Sativa plant has Haze and Asiatic ancestors, featuring long stems and branches. The plants grow very fast and with a lot of vigour, reaching up to 3 metres in height when planted directly in the ground outdoors. The plants are also well-adapted to the requirements of indoor and SCROG grows.

The aromas that accompany these flowers are predominantly spicy and scented, with some carrying a touch of anise. The effect of this strain is lively, stimulating, and lucid, making it suitable for cultivation in humid climates due to its resistance to fungal attack.
